John focuses on family creation and protection. John counsels families of all configurations.
In family creation, John practices in the areas of surrogacy, adoption, parenting agreements, and gamete donor contracts.
In family protection, John practices in the areas of estate and life-planning documents, estate administration, and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
Additionally, he practices in the areas of real estate and general civil litigation.
Recently, John secured a victory in an adult transgender name change case that is believed to be the first of its kind in New Jersey. After submitting a letter brief and participating in oral argument, John convinced a New Jersey Superior Court to waive the publication requirement and seal the record in an adult name change where there was not an imminent threat of violence.
Before joining Singer & Fedun, LLC, John taught law courses in public higher education for nine years. Earlier in his career, he served as a legal and educational consultant at CourtTV and worked on several governmental grants related to education and violence reduction. John served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Robert J. Passero, Assignment Judge of the New Jersey Superior Court, Passaic Vicinage.
When he is not practicing law, John can often be found gardening, exercising, or spoiling his dog.
